Join Us in Praise and Community

At Faith Lutheran Church, worship is at the heart of everything we do. Together, we gather to hear God’s Word, lift our voices in song, share in the sacraments, and be strengthened to serve others in Christ’s name.

Gather with us for worship each Sunday morning at 9:30 am for a traditional service of worship that includes a Liturgy of Praise, Hymns, and the sharing of the Sacrament of Holy Communion. From September to May we have Sunday School available for all children!

Following worship, we gather for a time of fellowship, coffee, and light snacks. Come and join us in the Fellowship Hall!

As always, please invite your neighbors, family members, and friends to join us. All are welcome!

The Season of Lent

Lent is a 40-day period which begins on Ash Wednesday and concludes on Holy Saturday. The number 40 is significant because after his baptism, Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness fasting, praying, and communing with God in preparation for his public ministry. The season of Lent is a time of reflection and reconciliation, deepening one's faith, and growing spiritually as Jesus did. On Ash Wednesday, we mark our foreheads with ash in the shape of a cross. This is called the "Imposition of Ashes," and serves as a reminder that we are human; remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

During the season of Lent, please join us every Wednesday at 5:00 for our Soup and Study! We spend some time, as the title suggests, studying a bit and enjoying homemade soup and fellowship afterwards! All are welcome!

The Season of Advent

The season of Advent lasts 4 weeks and is the period of time leading up to Christmas. Advent is such a wonderful time of year! We decorate the church and put up our Christmas tree in the sanctuary! Each year, we host our Prayer Service and Soup Supper every Wednesday at 5:00 and it’s such a beautiful way to help you stay focused on the fact that Jesus is the Reason for the Season! On Christmas Eve, we hold a Candlelight Service at 5:00 that we end by singing Silent Night in the glow of the candlelight! What a fabulous way to ease into Christmas morning!

The Blessing of the Animals

When we say “all are welcome,” we mean all are welcome here at Faith Lutheran, no matter how big, small or furry! Once or twice each year we celebrate with the Blessing of the Animals! We set up in the parking lot with chairs for pet parents and treats for pets, and all are blessed, including pets, pet parents, pet mementos and even stuffed animals! Pets are family, too…and who doesn’t need an extra blessing now and then?
